Ingredients for Lauki Dal Cheela/Bottle Gourd Lentil Cheela
- Moong dal ½ cup
- Gram dal ½ cup
Gourd wrapped 1½ cups
Salt 1 teaspoon
Turmeric – 1/2 teaspoon
Green Chili 2-3
Chut masala ½ teaspoon
Chopped coriander 2 tablespoons
Oil 2 tablespoons
How to make Bottle Gourd Lentil Cheela
- Clean the lentils, wash and soak it in water for 5-6 hours.
Remove the water from the pulse, grind the pulse into a vessel, grind it fine.
Cut off the green chili stalk and wash it well and cut it finely.
Now grate the gourd and grate it and add it to the mixture of lentil
Now add turmeric + green chili + red chilli powder + ginger + salt and mix well in the mixture of gourd and lentils. After that, add baking powder and stir well.
Now add 1 table spoon of oil in a nonstick pan and heat it and add 1/4 tsp of cumin seeds. After that add so much slurry of lentils that the cheela is 1/2 cm Look thick and cover this chelse and keep it on low gas for 4-5 minutes.
Now open the lid and roll over the whistle and cover again and take 2-3 minutes on slow gas. When you see that the cheela has become brown and crispy on both sides, then take it out in the plate and remove the other spatula in the same way and take it out of the plate.
