Hello friends ! Today we will learn to make dahi bada. It is very tasty . it is made on festival or any other occasion because dahi bada is also good for your health .Dahi bada can be made by different dals such as – by moong dal ,uddad dal and today we will make dahi bada by uddad dal. So friends lets start.
REQUIRE INGREDIENTS –
- Dhuli urad Dal – 1 cup
- Raisins – 1 teaspoon
- Cashews – 1 small spoon (finely chopped)
- asafoetida – 1 pinch
- Salt – according to taste
- Green Coriander Chutney
- Sweet Chutney
- Black Salt
- Roasted cumin powder

- First of all wash the dal and soak it in water for 3 to 4 hours and grind the dal till it become a past .
MAKE THE BATTER
- Mix the dal properly for 4 to 5 minutes. Then add salt as require. Mix the dal till the dal becomes smooth.
BADA FRYING METHOD
- First of all, heat oil in a fry pan or kadaI.
- Now take a small bowl and cover it a cleaned cloth or a clean foil .Hold the cloth from the back of the bowl.
- Now wet the cloth some water . Then take a few dal with the help of our hands and keep it on top of the cloth.
- Now press the pulp with the wet fingers and flatten it or round it with a light hand, take it in the hand with the cloth in the hand.
- Now take out the bada and put in to the fry pan. Fry it becomes brown. keep fried dahi bada into a plate .( we fry 4-5 dahi bada at a time) make all dahi badas similarly .
- Take some warm water, add salt and 1 pinch of asafoetida .put all dahi badas into the warm water and cover it for 45 min.
- After 45 min it becomes soft.
- Now we prees the soft badas, squeeze the excess water from it and keep it in the plate .
- Now put them in a plate of 3 to 4 fatty and add chopped yogurt and green coriander sauce on top and salt to taste, a little bit of black salt, a little bit roasted cumin powder.
- Now add some sweet curd and a little red chili powder and serve curry flakes filled with sour sweet flavors and eat them with fun.
- Use very little water while grinding pulses. If you graind easily without water, it is better.
